Yakisugi Finish: This is an ancient Japanese technique for preserving wood by charring it. It is burned, brushed, washed, and finally moisturized with oil. Due to the fire, cracks may appear; when the piece cools, the cracks stabilize and will never worsen.

There's not much to say about this marvel; the photos speak for themselves. As a fruit bowl or decorative piece, it's ideal.
