If you look at all my pieces, this one is different. I don't usually make pieces that are too bulky or heavy, but sometimes, it's good to step out of your comfort zone, and I think it's been for the best.

Yakisugi Finish: This is an ancient Japanese technique for preserving wood by charring it. It is burned, brushed, washed, and finally moisturized with oil. Due to the fire, cracks may appear; when the piece cools, the cracks stabilize and will never worsen.

These cracks are precisely what give the piece its personality and essence.
