Natural wood bowl with yakisugui finish
This is an ancient Japanese technique for preserving wood by charring it, burning it, brushing it, washing it and finally hydrating it with oil. Cracks may appear due to the fire, but they are stabilized so they will not get worse.
Inspired by antique vases. Extra smooth finish on the inside, you won't believe it until you touch it. Ideal as a salad bowl, fruit bowl or simply for display.
If you look at the shapes and details, the concave line that becomes convex creating a small peak, that point, I love it.

My pieces are for food, display or decoration purposes . The mineral oil and beeswax finish is completely suitable for food use, if applicable. Hand wash and dry, they need to be moisturized from time to time with oil.
Each piece sits proudly on the Nudo seal that is burned into the base, as a signature and seal of authenticity.
