Natural wood bowl with yakisugui finish with coconut oil and beeswax
This is an ancient Japanese technique for preserving wood by charring it, burning it, brushing it, washing it and finally hydrating it with oil. Cracks may appear due to the fire, but they are stabilized so they will not get worse.
Sometimes fire, understood as a process of catharsis and change, brings out the best in each of us. Forgive me for getting philosophical, but this burned piece, passed through the flames, is a true wonder.
* It has a knot at the base (it often happens that wood has knots) it is the little hole that you see in the photo, I warn you, so that there are no surprises later

My pieces are for food, display or decoration purposes . The mineral oil and beeswax finish is completely suitable for food use, if applicable. Hand wash and dry, they need to be moisturized from time to time with oil.
Each piece sits proudly on the Nudo seal that is burned into the base, as a signature and seal of authenticity.
Natural finish with a blend of mineral oil, coconut oil and beeswax
